Weather Policy

General Policy

  • •All games are to be played regardless of weather, unless the league cancels.
  • •Field closure or cancellation decisions are typically made by 3:00 PM.
  • •If the league has not canceled by 3:00 PM, teams are expected to play, and referees will expect payment.
  • •If weather conditions worsen at game time, the referee will make the final call.

Cancellations & Notifications

  • •League cancellations before 3:00 PM will be sent to coaches via text message.
  • •Weather cancellations after 3:00 PM will be made at the field.
  • •Games canceled by the league will be rescheduled by the league, and both coaches will be contacted to arrange a new date.

Additional Notes

  • •A closed U9–U19 state field does not automatically mean Academy games are canceled.
  • •If lightning is detected within 10 miles, all participants must move to a safe location until it passes.
